I remember my love for you;
soft, gentle, warm & then
burning burning;
a blaze unchecked,
rash, racing, racked
with pain, pleasure,
triumph.
I remember days long past too,
though measured by my own time when
drifting drifting;
no one else's effect.
Silken sun in sultry sky so assured
of now, never
that dreaded future hum.
I remember how waiting would ensue.
Crying, callous, nothing yet sent,
yearning yearning;
little trampled soul disheartened,
imagination so exact,
spent wondering and wandering ever.
Not more alone now all is done
