I Can’t Take This Anymore – 2

Nafis Light

Ya know, it looks like I went too deep;
Too deep inside myself;
Deeper Than Everybody else
and now I am feeling the ‘Heat’.

Fire, Fire, Fire!
Pain, Pain Pain!
Like…I Don’t Know…
…This Is Not What I Desire.

All I Ask For
Is Freedom
From All These Things Being Directed At Me
but What I Actually Need Is Probably ‘Wisdom’.

From The Time of My Birth
Till This Moment of Rebirth;
Do You Still Want To Call Me ‘Joker’?
Perhaps…You Wish To Call Me ‘Nafis’ (Real Name) Instead?

Wait…What Am I Saying?
I am telling you…My Real Name?
Maybe I Just Want To Be Me This Time,
Either Way…I Can Always Rhyme.

Well, Now You Know
What My Real Name Is,
but I Want You To Decide
About What To Continue Calling Me After This.

Are You Gonna Call Me ‘Joker’?
Are You Gonna Call Me ‘Nafis’?
Which Is Your Heart’s Answer?
Perhaps…That Is My Answer As Well.

There Are People Who Are Better With Their Real Name
and There Are Those Who Prefer Their Nickname;
All I Can Say Is That It Is Not About Fame,
but it is about what it means to the person deep down.

Your Words…Your Answer…Your Reaction,
They All Matter As Well As In Giving Me Motivation;
Without People…Without ‘That Deep Connection’,
I Might Just…Just….

    before all-else
    anchor your worth: to yourself, dear poet!
    or else you'll soon become
    a puppet to other's whimsical inflations
    of convoluted, mood swings...
    thanks for sharing
