The Gates of Paradise

Thomas Koron

There reaches a point within our lives where
We all long for some comfort from our grief.
A sense of mercy and welcoming care;
Rewards for our devotion and belief.
Witnessing the glory of heaven and
The peace we feel while standing at the gates.
Cherishing the warmth of His healing hand,
With the feeling that paradise awaits.
Holiness returns us to our freedom;
All pain is gone, and joyfulness abounds.
We’re cleansed upon entering His kingdom,
As we rest peacefully above the clouds.
He brings an end to suffering and loss;
To save mankind, He died upon the cross.
