anxious

dusk arising

My eyelids open
to mornings sunlight smile,
motivation smiles inside
for this brand new day.
Realisation hiccups inside.
Today is the day of prognosis.
Breakfast readied as supressed
trepidation waits for
an hour overdue phone call.
Which way will it go.
The pendulum of expectation
swings freely inside my head.
The future is suspended before me
its positive glow warms me.
Come on phone, ring for me.

Captured the moment well. Come I'm nodding, ring a well.
I deserve good news my friend, thoughts are with you.

    DA,

    Has that phone rung yet!?…

“The future is suspended before me
    its positive glow warms me.”

    Once that phone has rung,
    I sincerely hope you’ll
    feel the warm fuzzies.

I can relate to your well written poem.

    All the best to you,
    dear Dusky.

I have the distinct feeling this is not just the product of your poetic imagination ..

that anxiety you refer to is therefore understandable and can be related to ..

my fingers are crossed and I sincerely hope that when you hear that bell ring you are up n out of your corner and greeted with some positive news ... I shall be thinking of you ..

    Well done, Dusk.
I can see you writing the poem over breakfast with the phone by the orange juice. Love to you from my breakfast.

Did it ring Dusk? Our minds can be our very own torture devices sometimes. Nice poem
