As Wishes Fade (+2)

Kurt Philip Behm

Tears…

watermarks of a dry tomorrow

Irrigant

—of hope’s despair

(Dreamsleep: July, 2021)

At The Source

Prophetically contextual

—internally Divine

(Dreamsleep: July, 2021)

Carbon Dated

Life is short,

Art is long

Words but letters

—in search of song

(Dreamsleep: July, 2021)

    Kurt,

    • “As Wishes Fade”
    • “At The Source”

As I inhaled these brief exhales of yours, I couldn’t resist my personal connection to them.

Not too long ago, when my body was lacking strength, a wonderful nurse told me to inhale and exhale every hour on the hour to regain my strength. I listened and now I’m physically better.

Well I’ve been inhaling all your exhales that I’ve missed during the past few months. By doing so, they’ve strengthened me physically and emotionally…especially your Dreamsleeps! Apart from all your other writings (novels, anthologies, etc.), they’ve become my favorites.

I would love to flood this comment ‘box’ with many well deserved encomiums; but I will restrain my impulse…suffice to say I’ve said enough.

      Brilliant poetry, my friend
