Dreams about time travel

Masking

I had a dream about time travel.

If I were to meet you again, In a bar.
I'd tell you about my latest dreams.

They came to me not long ago, from a night.
That I really don't remember well.

Bits and pieces still roam so free, in my mind.
So I wrote it down to recall them.

I had some dreams about time travel,

They brought me back to warm Summertime.

They let me feel that way once again,

Cause I went back to the way things used,

To be.

I used to wish all the time for, her again.
But the sun never shines the same way.

I feel the pain like it's the rain, storm all day.
Is there a point to live with all lost.

The promise is not enough though, to keep me.
Waking up in a vortex of thoughts.

I had some dreams about time travel,

They brought me back to late fall, the fall.

They let me feel that way once again,

Cause I went back to the way things used,

To be.

It was the darkest time for me, in a hell.
That I never expected to see.

It was a text from you to me, you to me.
That ended all that I thought I knew.

Do I dare tell you of these things, I will not.
Be the man that I used to be now.

I had some dreams about time travel,

One was when we first met,

The other was in Florida.

That third I'll keep a secret,

And the last was the future.

I had some dreams about time travel,
But it's not the way that things were meant,

To be.
