WATCHING

the outside unfolded,

creating

an unstable surface

as the air walked

without surprise

over rising waves

collapsing onto

the shoreline

where turbulent waters

quickly settled back

forming a smooth  

space between,

appearing

for a moment

to stall,

as if  

considering a

breath before

releasing a word,

as the next

wave pushed

forward
