The road taken,
a path unwalked,
direction unto fate
A choice is made,
the debt unpaid
—redemption coming late
(Dreamsleep: July, 2021)
Left Of Center
Lost in confusion,
distracted by tomorrow
anxiety his lover
—memory undreamed

few people, truly understand
the historical and life-costly, morose
context
in the 'slight of word', trickery
Robert Frost utilised
in 'The Road not Taken'
and so frustratingly, it will forever remain
an admired poem, with a treasured
tag-line,
that most will misunderstand: but, sadly
that's, by design
as Frost's chose to showcase his intellect
than word, his essential wisdom: accessible...
that's that element of 'elitism;
in some poetry traditions, intended to keep
this wonderful vehicle we have
to disseminate, enrich and enlighten
what little useful insight, we glean
to those most in need
of worded gateways, to understanding
the commonalities in life's, complex difficulties..
and that's why, I personally
prefer writer's who - when necessary
will purposely, insure their wording is easily
comprehendible, while still maintaining
its poetic and artistic: integrity,
championing their poetry's
humane - quality, of humility
like you: dear poet
as your two poems today
word the message 'Frost - hid'
in such a meaningfully accessible way:
*Delivery, Left Of Center
'a path unwalked,
direction unto fate
A choice is made,'
'Lost in confusion,
distracted by tomorrow'
*'—redemption coming late'
'anxiety his lover'
(there's such a profoundly compassionate quality
to the write's you choose to share Kurt
and they're often meaningful, at so many levels;
please, forgive me for once more
creating a fusion
of your two brilliant poems
just so that I can greedily/rudely
highlight my point)
Thanks again LB. My favorite Robert Frost quote:
"Writing poetry that doesn't rhyme is like playing tennis without a net."
