joyride

phatima

another man down
but we aren't on a battlefield
a queen dropped her crown
to pick it up her king kneeled

on the merry go round
round the merry go goes
death is walking around
knocking on all of our doors

the king kneeled down
to fall for his death
his son is now crowned
the son feeling his father's last breath

on the merry go round
round the merry go goes
death is walking around
knocking on all of our doors

the merry go round
what a joyful ride
but earth is a battleground
where you laugh once you've cried

on the merry go round
round the merry go goes
death is walking around
knocking on all of our doors

he picked up her crown
to go down he kneeled
we know we'll all fall down
maybe one day our hearts will heal
