Life Through a Camera Lens

Accidental Poet

Ever notice

The times when you think

You’ve been here before

Was it a dream within a blink?

Something so familiar

Just out of reach

A distant memory

Maybe a lesson to teach

Or possibly

It never happened at all

But then why to you

The familiar thought did call

Life, in all its wisdom

Gives us visions of another era

Now I can see

Life is like a camera

One day leads to the next

Giving you a second chance

Sometimes called a “do over”

 To re-invent yourself and dance

Who wrote the quote underneath?

Of that I don’t know

But I see a message there

And good advice it shows

LIFE IS LIKE A CAMERA

Focus on what’s important, capture the good times,

develop from the negatives and if things don’t turn out,

just take another shot.

    Good write AP.
Ohhh, 'If all else fails - give up?!' (heehee). Nooooo!

    • Accidental Poet

No giving up allowed Orchi. It's win or try again. But without singing. ; )

This gives a whole new meaning to posting pictures on Instagram.

Thanks for the visit and read Joseph. I don't do Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any of those things. But MPS is top shelf stuff. ; )

Thanks for the poem! Actually, I don't post anything on social media myself; I greatly prefer the older-style photo albums at home - but to each their own, as they say. But I completely agree: poetry is a wonderful camera.

Great write on the best way to face life A.P, - one day at a time of course. I love that comparison with a camera.

              When walking with nature:

“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.”
