Building A Home - 1

Nafis Light

If we can’t find a home,
we create one;
We find a place to stay
and organize it ‘our way’.

We fill it with things that we love;
We invest a lot of our effort
to make it grow and be better
to be a place of Comfort, Love…and Wonder.

    This reminds me of a friend of mine who, whenever I would say 'life is meaningless,' would counter it with 'well, how do you define meaning, what is meaningFUL to you?' He would say look around your home or the space that you're in - what have you surrounded yourself with? What do you love? And that was the point - love is a tiny act of rebellion against existence being meaningless. That's a very generous paraphrase of Camus. Anyway, sorry for the lengthy comment! Your wonderful words just reminded me of this - so thank you x
