Fading Star

 I ask myself why ?
why are you so kind to us?
why do you provide us with much needed life and warmth?
Why do you nourish our earth and replenish our energy?
I ask myself why?
why are you so giving?

selflessness must be your one true quality that we could know.
selflessness is one quality that we as a human race could chance to know and grow.
grow in future generations so we can plan ahead in case you decide to dwarf.
who is one to know when your selflessness becomes inevitable to be devoid of life for giving so much of your entity 
as I look upon you with great amazement,
I ask myself why?
why are you so giving ?
when we have given you nothing in return 
I look upon our fading star and simply ask myself
why?
