Eyes wide open

Now I see

With eyes wide open

No more the blind

One am I

Never again 

Shall I be fooled

By the darkness

All around

In a world once

So bright

I cannot see

The light no matter

How hard I look

Even now with

These eyes of mine

Open wide

Nothing do I see

Yet still looking 

For the light am I

Now the darkness

Closes in all around me

Pushing me down

To my knees
