Echo

rebmasters

Am I your reflection?
Your missing half,
only able to echo back
your words;
a curse
from a beautiful immortal.
Aural effect,
my lips against your neck;
what would they speak?
Unable to call out to you,
I sit silent
so inarticulate.
Wishing is so wasteful
& yet…
Do you see me in the deep, dark
pools of your eyes?
Could you find me within a starless night
filled with soft sighs
& signs
unread?
To have half of a life
still counts

    'Aural effect,

    'I sit silent

    Wishing is so wasteful
    & yet…'
    (really liked these lines
    a wonderful read, dear poet)
