Questioning tides

If you're trying to reach me and can't seem to find. Leave me a message or drop me a line ~

Why does the ocean rush to the shore? Why does a kiss leave you longing for more? Why do simple things like good mornings, hellos ...fade into echoes underscored with woes? What happened to love? What happened to trust? When did the "I love yous" all turn to dust?

I gave it my best ...I gave it my all. But just like the seasons, after summer's the Fall. I wanted to love you. I wanted to stay. I'd rather blow out the light than watch it all fade. So I left you today. It was hard, but I had to. Ran far from the pain that I so long held onto. Started to remember that I once loved myself too. Sure I wanna live, just not sure how to live without you.

So why does the ocean rush to the shore? ...and why does a kiss leave you longing for more? Why do simple things like warm hugs and goodbye ...things once so joyful, only now make me cry.

Well said. I can hear Jeff Buckley in my mind belting out, "No one believes in love anymore". Again, well said!
