Old Foes
Old friends becomes strangers
New friends become dangerous
Old friends, relationships caused pain
We never saw coming
New friends don’t know the old pain
But expect us to be open
Old friends became the reason we became cold
The reason our trust so foul
New friends try to know us
As we push them further and further away
We’re aware of what people could do
But never acknowledging they’re a different person
As old friends become strangers
We do away with the history
The old bond and love given out
Though new friends are dangerous
We should be open to learning them
If we go on closed off
Then are we really living ?
We are just living to die
Old friends become strangers
And new friends become dangerous
Protect your heart
But live your life to the fullest

- Comment from author about the poem: People come into your life to accomplish a goal in your life and once they achieved it, they leave. Appreciate those that in your life and be open to making new friends as that is what keeps the love burning bright in your heart. When you become addicted to being alone we are only living to die, explore the world and meet new people and don't regret your old friends.
