Love You Double

Saxon Crow

So much time wasted in doubt
So much of our journey sadly missed out
I wish I had been a better man back then
Stronger, kinder and wiser with life
Then I would have seen you standing before me
Loving, resolute, honest and true
Showing me that I was the one for you
But foolish man that I am
Refused to see life had a plan
And so we trudged on along our separate paths
But never really were we apart
And now here we are you and I
Finally together in body, heart and mind
I see you in your absolute entirety
And the love I feel transcends eternity
My only regret is the wasted years and unnecessary tears
But now you're here and I promise you
I will love you double to try and make up for my selfish ways
I will love you double until my dying day

    such a wonderful dedication
(if we're thinking about them, with Love
then, we can be reassured in the fact
that at least - They: are being Loved...)
or at least that's how I, selfishly
    choose to interpret
this treasured - thorn adorned, anchor
    I carry with me
to and from my dreams, dear poet
