Small Wonders

chasing_sunsets

Such a small set of eyes
only they could have spotted
the small, magnificent wonder.
Hiding so low where old eyes don't go
tucked away in a shadowy corner.

What on Earth could it be?
Who knows? But undoubtedly
some rare valuable treasure.
She gently holds and desires to know
as her fascination grows without measure.

Such a small pair of hands
curiously inspect it
while her awe eagerly hovers.
Weak is her grasp though strongly attached
to the marvelous wonder discovered.

Only as a child grows older do they lose that wonderment of what we adults take for granted. What a treasure it would be to hold onto that wonderment as we age. Great write cs 😉

As children we see. As adults we forget how. Brilliant write. Loved it.
