Hope
When nights come close,
and shadows leave
only at a distance,
a moonlight will gleam
that will guide you straight
along your way
and will never leave you behind
feeling astray
no doubt like the moon,
there is only one
that lights up the darkness
just like the sun
how far you go
it will remain close
even when you are happy
or when your heart woes

- Comment from author about the poem: wrote this poem when i literally broke out....feeling really hopeless from the world...but then i tried to focus on the things and people i really have in life and tried to acknowledge them, really when you are in trouble, everyone leaves you but only one remains behind who is ur true companion....just like when sun leaves us at night, people will leave u in trouble but even in trouble, you really have atleast one by your side, just like the moon at night....

I wouldn't have guessed this as being spiritual
but for your category selection
it reads more like, empowerment of self-expression
making space for sunbeams
to pierce and brighten, life's momentary-bleak horizons..
