Pisces, Seasons

I am

that grateful, thread

scarred

crimson

dread

bobbing, flailing

defiantly; while

peeking

tepidly

against

 life’s: tidal wave

of fate

saved by your gills or be done for by the guillotine? lifes tidal wave of fate, brilliant you are.

I flipped a coin, dear Poetess
and while waiting for it, to answer
      I scribbled a few lines
      and worded, a relatable interpretation
to frame: our experience of life... lol
      Thank you! as-ever I'm humbled
by your sincere generosity, of goodwill

Exceptional words LB.You are thus a poet extrordiare indeed.

      • L. B. Mek

        lol, I wish...
I'm glad you could relate to these
        humble few words, dear Poet
I thank you, for such an empowering
        and emphatically generous
        declaration of support and encouragement

weight for weight and size for size you have poemed and packed one hell of a tsunami into an otherwise lonely page ........... and quite exceptionally so my friend ... N

        • L. B. Mek

'packed one hell of a tsunami
          into an otherwise: lonely page'..
best line of poetry, on this page
          in my humble opinion
          thank you! my poetic journey's
          unassuming pillar: of unwavering support
in that guise, of a most cherished friend!

        • Coyote

Reminds me of Dylan Thomas, 'Rage, rage against the dying of the light'. Brilliant sir. Your poetic abilities are extraordinary.

          • L. B. Mek

            wow! what a favourable comparison
            that's one my favourite lines of impassioned poetry;
to receive your words of support
            is such a warming experience
on this: a cold, rain pummelled and dreary
Monday morning, of our beloved Blighty's
            as-ever: temperamental Summer, lol
            Thank you, kind poet

There’s a saying in Hindi, “ to a drowning man, even a straw is a life saver”, while straws are difficult to find in an ocean, your fateful words will surely show the way

            • L. B. Mek

              Amen!
              (if it be - but true;
              from your lips
              to those Ears, kind enough
              to permit mercy
above all else: despite, our failings)
              thank you, dear poet
what a very kind interpretation of my humbled words

            • Trenz Pruca

So light and airy for a water sign. Thank you, I enjoyed it a lot.

              • L. B. Mek

oh good, I was hoping it wouldn't come across
                as too dramatic or heavy
thank you, for your considered review
glad you enjoyed the read, dear poet

              • Goldfinch60

May that fate lead you into a great life Mek.

                • L. B. Mek

                  Amen!
                  thank you, Andy
but, truthfully I'll be just as happy
                  to settle for a humble life, my friend;
for I fear those vices, that inevitably lurk
                  in those egotistical shadows
                  of supposed greatness... lol

                • Dove

Awesome! On a scale of scales! I give this an Astral kiss of 100 fins

                  • L. B. Mek

                    lol
oh dear awesome poet, how I cherish
your unique poetic imagery's: quirky zest
                    thank you!

                    • Dove

                      You’re most welcome Mek!

                    • William Marshal

Well expressed who knows when our calm may be swamped by a tidal wave of cruel seas

                      • L. B. Mek

                        indeed,
                        what a wonderfully spirited interpretation
                        of my humble words,
                        thank you!
