Through A Glass Lightly

Kurt Philip Behm

Outrunning his destiny,

overtaking his fate

Reprieving tomorrow

—all time to abate

    Kurt,

The table is set and ready for the lunch we’re about to enjoy.
While I’m waiting for my aunt’s favorite Saturday lunch (a Margherita pizza with a glass of wine), I decided to read some of today’s posted poetry. I noticed your poem’s title…and here I am I staring at my aunt’s wine glass which she’ll soon imbibe its contents.
What does any of this have to do with your poem? Nothing! I’m just enjoying the coincidence of the glass and it’s timing.

A very interesting ‘Dreamsleep’…short but powerful!

Have a wonderful weekend, my dear Poet.

And the same to you, Laura. Have fun
    with your Aunt.

      Thank you, Kurt.

      She’s delighted that we’re together again. ❤️☺️
