Innocent Feet

chasing_sunsets

A casual stumble,
an innocent fall,
but the sound in your voice says it all.

No breath and no colors
and the sounds, you wonder,
"Why strange?" 'cause I made a terrible blunder.

A ghost looked upon me.
A new fear introduced
a terror before not produced.

Never again will I rush
such innocent feet
along paths not ready to meet.
