Kettle

jo

I've got this kettle

And if you fill it up too much

It boils over

So what you thought would be a lovely amount of hot water

Ends up being a mess that soaks into most things around it

That you have to clean up

And you mentally note that you won't do that again

But heat each cup of water separately

To be safe

But you do it again! I have one that sputters when I pour it and have to talk to it very severely to make it stop.

When I was boy our kettle used to whistle - Perhaps kettles were happier then!!

Well you have certainly stimulated some whimsy, if the entries directly above are anything to go by.
I have kettle problems of my own - mine splutters and stops if I am in any way in error and sulks for at least half an hour. Ruins my breakfast.
What about a swap - postage costs to be negotiated......
