Notice of absence from HannahElisabeth
Taking a long overdue mental health vacation. I will check in when I can.
Taking a long overdue mental health vacation. I will check in when I can.
Your weary soles are worn down
I see you are no stranger
To wandering the labyrinth
Of hell’s cold, empty chambers
So come and still
Your restless mind
Come soothe away the burns
From missteps of the past
I know
We both incurred
Let the lilting melody
Bring you back
Into the present
Leave the pain
And hurt behind
If only
For a moment
I’ll sing for you
Like summer rain
Tin rooftops
Early morning grey
Cleansed by rain
With every storm
It offers new beginnings
For life to grow and flourish
And in nature,
Find our healing
Wild as we might be
We are no easily shattered rose
And though
We might have piercing thorns
Instead,
It’s love we chose
So come forth,
Into the storm with me
And wash away the pain
Carried by the melody
Come and love me,
In the rain.

This one is very beautiful to me, it actually plucked at those heavy strings of my heart a bit. A splendid write, well done!
I always did love playing string instruments, happy to hear it struck a chord. Thank you for the compliment!
Like this. Imbues a feeling of peaceful hope, free of controversy….
Enjoy Robert Frost very much, although I incline to his narrative works slightly more I think.
A much needed reprieve for sure. I credit Robert Frost for falling in love with poetry in the first place, seemed fitting to pay him homage eventually. I'm happy to hear you liked it 🙂
Wow Hannah. Pure poetry in practice. I love this.
Thank you so very much for such kind words!
poetic sincerity flowing freely
with practised ease
this is such an intriguing read,
thanks for sharing, dear poet
And thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment
I thus thank Frost for giving you the final inspiration for putting together a romantically soaked poetic piece to enrich our memories
Your words are too kind, thank you
