To The Girl From Freshman Year Math Class

kingdomcleeves

To my best friend,

I miss you.

You were supposed to be there at graduation last May.

You were my rock that held me down and I was your glue.

I still remember that day.

I still remember that call.

I still remember my knees hitting the floor.

I still remember hearing the still of your monitor.

And still I can hear you knocking on my front door.

Nothing is worse than losing your other half,

For you made me more than whole.

I was the flower and you were my caretaker.

You showered me with your love

And I blossomed.

Now, I take care of the garden that you planted.

You scored the symphony,

And now I finish it.

It's time to let you go.

I'll never forget your silent battle that I never saw before,

You made your decision long ago.

But your peace became my war.
