L. B. Mek

Fated chords

Fingers, once strangers

intertwine within wilting time

in the now, as piano keys

snug-fit in contrasting harmony.

First impression’s sizzling trepidation

harmonising, attraction fuelled anticipation

forming melodies of skin-warmth unification.

Clasped, white-knuckled notes of yearning

surrendering, as blended falsettos

confronting, serendipity’s obstacles

our eclectic destiny’s off-beat, cacophony.

Comfort’s tuned togetherness, lulling

awakening, un untimely crescendo’s warning

our symphonic chemistry’s ageless, refining.

You have composed your own price of music dear L.B this is wonderful and your play on words very clever indeed.

you know when you meet someone
and you start getting along, for some reason
life gets a little more melodic, I find
radio happens to play that song you like
      or you start humming, something
that has you feeling good, for no reason
      lol
      that's the mood/moment
      I was trying to capture/convey..
thank you! for your unwavering support dear poetess
may your kindness be rewarded tenfold

      • Teddy.15

Yes it's wonderful to feel that way, by the way I meant to say composed your own piece of music not price. 🤣 Thank you for sharing your joyful moment.

Your could describe for me the mental passage one goes through as one learns to play and axpress oneself through a musical instrument and the reward of performing. As a creative jazz player, for me all your words combine to exhault the experience.

        • L. B. Mek

          that's just awesome!
thank you Dusk, how very kind
(I love music and really regret
not learning to play an instrument
so your words, mean that much more)

"Now, I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord" etc etc ...............Halleluja ..

Yep, nigh on perfection L.B be proud sir .. I know I would be ... N

lol, far from it my friend
but if it gets your approval
then its perfectly good enough for me
            thank you!

Perfect melody, these poetic words have displayed in a grand fashion.

            • L. B. Mek

oh good, I wanted them to give-off
a melodic feel, thank you for highlighting
that aspect of my write, dear poet

            • Coyote

Can only imagine the tune that goes along with this number. Great write LB. Made me smile🙂

a jazz melody, is what I'd favour
although more old school slow blues
                than a high tempo modern,
                looking for the right accompaniment
might be a fun distraction for a rainy day
                thanks for the suggestion, lol
                glad you liked it

This is a work of art. A song that tickled my mind with every word. Your use of vocabulary is something extraordinary.

                  kinda great when someone connects
with one of our scribbles this well
                  makes it all worthwhile!
so glad you enjoyed the read, dear poet
that was such an overtly generous
                  and encouraging comment
                  humbly, I thank you

Holding hands is as therapeutic as music ! Love the metaphors of affection
An instrument can be the joy of a musician, as the two lovers holding hands!
                    Beautifully written

oh, you always know just what to say

                      thank you!

May those tunes always bring us together Mek, music has that ability to do so.
