And That’s How I Roll

Accidental Poet

I’m up with the sun

At work on time

Giving more than I get

I’ll hold that line

I’m no better than anyone else

I’ve made my share of mistakes

But mistakes teach you to try harder

For success you do whatever it takes

Only one way to earn your keep

Prove your worth to the boss

At week’s end

The finish line you’ll cross

Play your cards right

A surprise in your paycheck

Rewarded with a pay raise

Your smile has a deserved outlet

To a needing coworker

I’ll gladly lend a helping hand

Together we’ll get the job done

A commitment we understand

Life isn’t free

I’ll pay that toll

I’m driven by inner pride

And that’s how I roll

    A fine write AP.
Why, yes, (at 3:10 in the video) 'start your day with something positive in your ear', but not Orchi coming through on the headphones. Cut orf that wavelength! lol.

    A bit more - ooh!
I understand 'inner pride' which can be a sort of humility - earning one's daily crust, helping others, etc.
Not the pride of trampling over everyone else, no one else matters, only ME mentality.
Bit psychological this. Might give me headache if too 'deep'. heehee.
Now c'mon Orchi, do some sensible thinking! lol.

Take two aspirin and call me in the morning (my morning, not yours) 😆

That inner pride on helping others is so important in our lives AP.

I guess it goes by different names, but I call it work ethic. Thanks Andy. 😊
