You’re supposed to know
the people you know,
and not the people you don’t
You’re supposed to feel
the things you can feel,
and not the things that you can’t
You’re supposed to be
what your nature portends,
and not what convention proscribes
You’re supposed to love
without borders or fear
—those moments forever alive

Kurt,
An interesting and intriguing poem which I enjoyed reading and inspired me to give a lot of thought to the following…
•getting to know ‘the people’ I don’t…
why not?
•feeling ‘the things’ that I can’t…
why not?
•be not what your nature foretells…
why not?
•be what convention forbids…
why not?
•‘love without borders or fear’…
why not?
All daring and tempting,
I fearlessly say.

The 'why' in trying to live outside yourself.
Thanks Laura
You’re most welcome.
I’m sincerely appreciative
and thank YOU
for your comment.
Have a peaceful night my dear Poet.
Laura🌻
I drink heartily from your fountain of wisdom
dear Poet,
grateful for each sip that allows me, more clarity...
'You’re supposed, to be
what your nature
portends,
and not, what convention
proscribes!'
Thank you LB.
