Oblivion

A1Saccharine

The luminous lights of heaven

surround me in open arms,

Inviting me to dance.

As hellish steps possess my feet,

A new vessel at your command.

The brighter my colors beam,

The more your presence darkens.

A shadow that can't be seen,

Your silhouette soon forgotten.

Turn to face me now,

Please don't disappear.

For every dreary ballroom,

needs a chandelier.

Within this colorless crowd,

They shall be our clouds.

A spotlight in the sky,

We fly,

we fall,

We drown.

Like weeping tears descending

from the heaven that condemned us.

Your hand in mine we take the fall,

From the stage to end it all.

And in our final moments,

You turn to me and say,

“It seems our performance has fallen flat.”

Thank you. It certainly is thought provoking. I enjoyed swimming through the images or rather dancing through them.
