The Spring

jo

Cocooned no longer
the long-awaited invitation
triumphantly farewells its envelope

Come twirl with me
on shimmering blankets of clover
it beckons

Let us feast
on the warming golden syrup
from above

Arise

Unwrap the shrouds
that bickered with the frost

For today
while lilies whisper of change
we flutter and float
as graceful cherry blossoms
toward an unblemished
hope

    "Come twirl with me
    on shimmering blankets of clover"

I suddenly feel the need to be lost in a forest somewhere, preferably barefoot. I love this
