Preservation

rebmasters

When you’re not here,
but secretly squirreled away
in your snug drey;
nesting,
waiting,
trying,
endlessly creating;
are you immersed in preserving
what exists between us?
Are you trying to prolong
the marvelous, magic moments
that flow
downstream
& that keep us buoyant?
Can it be done?
Is it all fairy dust
stuck in our eyes?
If it is then
I never want to wake again
