A fourteen-year-old was I

And 50 years later it’s still no lie
Since we were ten years old
You’ve owned my heart
Love at first sight
God’s own work of art
But love’s not always
A two-way street
And still you left me

Never regretting

Our loves from our past touch our hearts more than we could have ever known. But they stay in our heartsand stay on our minds. These loves make writers out of us. Just another thing to thank them for. A very nice heart felt poem.
