The Pound of Extra

Rolyn

Everything is extra in the eyes of one.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” Ruby phrases.

But the extra pound that taunts in the head has only won.

Take the words to mind.

Little by Little breaks apart but never will be defined.

Find a different meaning to why the mind takes it seriously.

Fine with I but makes my mind go deliriously.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Meaning: Anything you do or say seems extra to those around you. You're unable to be yourself because of others opinions. Those words get sent to your mind and make you feel like you're wrong in everything.
