A Truehearted Friend

TuckerTheApostolic

As I stare into the light,

And here as I write,

The familiar feeling of a pen in my hand,

By you a truehearted friend will stand!

Through it all, both thick and thin,

To help you when your head will spin,

Though the friend most desired,

Will commonly not stick through the fire!

Although it hurts,

As your friend diverts,

And you must let them go,

For your life without them, is aglow!

  • Comment from author about the poem: Just writing about my friends. The friends I wanted most haven't stuck through the trials, but the ones that stuck with me are my true friends, and I realize that now.
