I wish I could be like Superman.
Causing destruction everywhere I go, yet people cheer for me.

A symbol for peace, and all that's right, yet I occasionally take down a building.

I want people to chant my name, and call for me when they need me.
relish in my site, and think of me when I'm not around.

I want to be Superman for all of his short comings.
I want to wear the S

    LOL It sounds like how USA would like to think it is regarded in places like Laos where it dropped more tonnage of bombs than it dropped in WW2 and there are thousands still dying there from those bombs... then of course theres Vietnamm and dare we talk of Afghanistan.... yep... they know all about supermen from usa in those places.

      Hey I really appreciate the positive feed back. I try to use real life experiences and make them relatable to the reader. I think to feel connected to something your reading is always important.

        I would say more satire, but I like to leave poetry up to the readers interpretation.

          OK Anthony. I'm notorious for engagement in debate - so you take this with that in mind.To speak or write is to communicate. To produce words and then claim that it doesn't matter what it means is a cop out. Communication is about the exchange of ideas in order to convince and perhaps learn something. Anything else isn't worth a candle.
