Leaving With The Sun

Bags…

stuffed full with dreams

packed in the night

—waiting for dawn

    'tickets for an escape shelter
in the middle of a deserted, cloud
wings spread wide, son by my side
and I warn him endlessly, knowing
    he's tired of my voice
    'not too, high
    nor too low
    keep your dreams, sailing
    in that middle, where
    you'll find safety, hiding
    in amongst, the majority herd'...
    as Aurora, opens the gates
    I check our wax layers
    one last fateful, time!'
(what can I say my friend
your brilliance has inspired me again
actually your write, originally took me
to Tracy Chapman's song 'Fast Car')
    'You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
    Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere
    Any place is better
Starting from zero got nothing to lose
    Maybe we'll make something
Me, myself, I got nothing to prove

    You got a fast car
I got a plan to get us outta here
I been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money
Won't have to drive too far
Just 'cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living'

No one is as artful a commentator as you.

      Thanks again
