broken mirrors

Inko

walking through the dark just hoping i’ll see you soon
haven’t seen you since the middle of june
winter is coming and now i'm feeling so blue
lost my way around the world looking just for you

everything was shattered by my icy paranoias
like knives cutting into your flesh and bone
i didn’t think this would be our metanoia
causing you to be alone
but it still feels like we’re whole

looking into the fragments of your broken mirror
reflections of your tragedies, and i’m seeing you splinter
having all your pieces here, in my hands made out of gold
pieces of you on the floor, and i’m wiping your tears, our blood runs cold
having all your pieces here, even when your beaten and feeling defeated
hoping that i won’t be alone, and i’m placing your pieces wherever it’s needed

i’m holding to the only pieces i have left of you
and finally listening to our fading tune
my late nights i’m staring at the silver moon
your broken mirrors haunting me in my room

everything was shattered by my icy paranoias
like knives cutting into your flesh and bone
i didn’t think this would be our metanoia
causing you to be alone
and it still feels like we’re whole
but i see it burning in your soul

looking into the fragments of your broken mirror
reflections of your tragedies, and i’m seeing you splinter
having all your pieces here, in my hands made out of gold
pieces of you on the floor, and i’m wiping your tears, our blood runs cold
having all your pieces here, when your beaten feeling defeated
hoping that i won’t be alone, and i’m placing your pieces wherever it’s needed
i’m standing in the dark, and i finally receded

and it still feels like we’re whole
but i see it burning in your soul
and now i’m standing in the dark alone
