I'm the sun in the light
You're the moon
I'm raging fire
You're cold water
The sun can never visit night
The moon will never grace morning
We meet halfway but never touching
Fire is put out by water
You engulf all my being
I'm nothing more than sticks wasting away
I'll soon turn to ash
I will become corrupt
Never quite anything I used to be
I'll come back but never the same

'The moon will never grace morning
We meet halfway but never touching
Fire is put out by water
You engulf all my being'..
feels very personal, but somehow
there's a relatable thread to a common need
for a new beginning, a self empowering
fighting song, of a poem - if you will..
or I'm way off the target as usual
anyway, thanks for sharing
a unique read
Very beautifully written poem love this one..
The Moon simply forgets that without the Sun, it is just a dark rocky sphere.
When you come back, you are stronger.
A wonderful writing.
