I Think

I think there was a time when I
didn’t know you.
Where I spent my days routinely,
setting a timer for every passing minute.
Where I choked beneath all those other stalks
fighting for sunlight, oxygen;
withering & I didn’t care.

I think there was a time when your bright face
didn’t greet me every morning

    Very kind of you sir to fav my last poem. I've been quite woozy and inconsistent on here recently. I'm very chaotic! But wanna say you're my favourite poet on this shitty site, and this write is, um, something I wish I possessed the talent to create I guess. Stay poetic X

      How infinitely wonderful of you - there couldn't possibly be a better compliment. (I also like being called sir - I'm glad my gender remains a mystery)

      & though it may seem like mere reciprocity now - you are absolutely my favourite poet on here too
