It is an ongoing battle, a lifelong battle

that a few people manage to win,

yes-a few manage to survive.

You tell yourself that you do not want it anymore,

that this time-this time-Is the last time,

once its done.. I am done.. No more!

But before you know it-

the substance becomes nothing

and the craving starts to resurface,

the hunger grows stronger

and the feeling runs deep

deep into the bones,

deep into the mind,

and deep into the flesh.

Resistance becomes a struggle,

trying to fight the flesh is like trying to rip off the skin.

It's hard, it's painful,

but it's possible.
