Jesus the Son of God

matthew jay

Jesus came from heaven

God in flesh

Born of a virgin

Fully God

Yet fully man

He walked among men

And came to be

A sacrifice for man's sin

To reconcile

God and man

He was put to death

On a cross

Treated as a criminal

Where in three days

He was raised to life

He returned to God

Sitting now at God's right hand

Making intercession

For those of us

Who by faith

Accept him as Savior

And Lord

He gives us the right

To become

Children of God

To have our sins

Forgiven by God

When we die

This is why we are called believers

For we believe

Jesus came from God

And returned to God

We are made right with God

  • Comment from author about the poem: There is heaven and hell. You decide where you go when you die. You leave this world either forgiven by God or condemned. The body here dies but your spirit lives on for eternity.
