Lone Danseur

camelot

Smooth like ballet at first
Then Shoe! I lost a sandal
What started on the web
Didnt think would get me tangled
Waltzin barefoot got me tripping
I jumped, i sprained an ankle             And i thought you wanted to dance
But i guess it takes two to tango

  • Comment from author about the poem: Its about people that want to dance 😉 until they find out they dont like their partner that much, so they leave the party. Enjoy!

a fun spin (pun - unashamedly, intended) lol
dating's dancing games: now etiquette's dinosaurs
and there's no guessing, to meaning
one could click 'like' by mistake
or flick 'left' knowing, they meant
    an inviting wink of a fleeting 'right';
say yes, then scream for 'help'...
best, to get a prenup ready
for every 'encounter' in that wild jungle
    its worth every penny
    get a thumb print
signed and sealed, first - before
you wave a hi, clear - from 'side to side'
far across form the other side
of a star crossed, tentative serendipity
    then baby step, your approach
    asking with every inch forward
'will it be worth the drama?'
    No, really: will it?
    cos this be modernity's
    MTV and Netflix: reality
    you've inherited
where being 'Catfished', is the Least
    of your worries... lol
    (thanks for the laughs
    and inspiring
    my own little scribbled reply)
