For Sharon
My first and last love
The one lady in my heart
I often speak of
Poems I’ve penned for her
May seem repetitious
But this I promise
My words for her not fictitious
Of me, one might ask
Why I love someone I can’t hold
To which I reply
It’s not about owning the gold
I’m the one who saw her smile
And I’m the one who felt the pull
The magnet pull on my young heart
An empty heart she changed to full
Love is a precious gift
Whether love is two way or not
I couldn’t allow myself
To lose this gift I got
If I’ve loved but once in my life
Then that once is all I ask of
For life’s greatest joy
Is to know the feeling of love
For the love that lives inside me
For Sharon
Has made me a very happy man
A wealthy in love baron

A heartful of love that has lasted this long must go on forever my friend - there is a saying that I believe - - "love cannot die for it is part of the permanent" - I have always kept that comfort close to my core.
And now part of my core. Thank you Fay. 😉
i guess it`s the feelings we experience when we see them

Thank you very much Arvy. I'm delighted you like it. 😉
Dear Sharon, wherever you are, do you know that on this planet, there is a man, his heart only beats for you and for you only.
I'll second that. 😉 Thanks m&m
And she has known since she left town in 1971 because I left a letter in her school locker. But... she probably thinks I've forgotten all about her now 50 years later. Never happen, 😉
