The world around me is burning
Yet I see no flame
Time and again I get closer, never learning
Burned again and again.
The embers soar, blanketing the sky
Panorama of ash
Left behind with no reason why
Alone at last.
Wandering through this Armageddon
Salvation in hand
Wondering if my brain would let the lead in
Escaping this shell called man
In the midst of this temple massage
An Angel appeared
Approaching her to find her a mirage
It was just as I feared
Now with nothing and with no hesitation
The hammer is drawn
Left in the street, this bloody presentation
A once loved man.....
......... is gone

Thank you for the smile
A powerful scene that's been beautifully worded.
Bravo Simple-Man87, I hope all is well!

S-M87,
You donāt see the flame because it is within. Donāt let that ash shroud the beautiful blue sky thatās there for you to see. Within that shell of a man
ā¦as you say itā¦
thereās beauty and a gentle soul. That carnal āAngelā was not there because it was not worthy of you. Let it not be said āA once loved man is goneā. Heās there with a guardian Angel upon his shoulder. Listen carefullyā¦youāll be guided toward that blue sky and see the light. That light will shine within you and guide you. Listen to your guardian Angel upon your shoulder and be patient.
Patience is the key.
Wishing you all the best. You deserve it.
