Now is the not the right time,
I Should have known that now is not the right time,
Look at you now, probably forgetting the conversations we had
Then here I am, still constantly having you on my mind.
So much so that i wonder if i am really going mad
Didn't know simple texts could make you smile
Didn't know simple texts could make you worry
Didn't know simple texts could make you regain hope
Didn't know simple texts could also make you lose it that easily
Should I have done that, should I have done this,
My friends would always say I am too much of a overthinker
But as it turns out, everything is just as what I have predicted
From ‘hey’ with a bunch of Ys,
to conversations left with no reply
Trying again would never not be cool,
But I fear that I would once again end up a fool.
I know that it'll never be the same,
Especially when I hear your name.
All the could haves, all the should haves start flowing back in,
And as hard as I try to laugh it off,
Just know that it is because I don't want to show it anymore.
Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t even together,
But the fact that that is true just never fails to faze me.
I thought we were close, I thought for some rhyme or reason I had it,
but I should have know that now is not the right time
Hope you’re doing okay, hope you won’t be stressed out
Can't say the same for yourself but i miss the conversations we had,
The calls we had where we frantically switched off our cameras when our parents walked in
To return to that time would definitely put a smile on my face
And get me out of this stupid sad phase
