Happiness ,

Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose)

Happiness , a smile within

Bubbly lemonade in your mind

A fizz and upliftment of refreshing feelings

Surely it has to be this

Bubbly lemonade

  Bubbles floating in the sky

A carefree collection of lightness and sunshine within you

Smiling within your mind

Yellow buttercups singing

and you have a ballerina dancing within you , Pointing her toes in a dance floor

To music that soothes and uplifts her soul

Lemonade within you  A carefree collection of bubbles within you

Happiness , nice feelings floating dancing free Uplifting refreshing  Feeling lovely inside of your mind  Feeling ways that make you want to smile laugh and dance

Inside of you

Happiness isn’t feeling grey clouds within

Or feeling like a flat segment of soil missing the grass that should exist and should be there

It’s not being without but being with

The bubbles and the lemonade the dancer within you

It’s feeling like a beautiful flower instead of feeling like a grey unattractive cloud

It’s feeling like lemonade instead of tap water

Surely it is that bubble and fizz  The flowery vibrancy
Feeling like a firework

Being with the lemonade the flowers

Not living with the tap water and the dreary cloud

Not feeling like the soil that should be wuth the grass and flowers but seems to be without

Surely happiness is feeling a smile within

Colours of vibrancy within you  Having things outside of you that help you smile that bit brighter

It’s not walking around feeling empty and flat

Doing something apparently fun whilst feeling like you might aswell be reading a tedious book  Dancing whilst feeling in your mind that you might aswell be sitting on the sofa

Happiness Is feeling as you should

Being lemonade instead of feeling like tap water

Feeling like laughing because a fun dancer is inside of you

It’s having a real smile within you  That gets brighter with all the colours you see every day

Do I know what real happiness is  I write this as I feel distant from the words I write on this piece of paper  Writing about happiness when to be honest I do not feel enough  Is causing tears to stir inside of me

Why am I writing about happiness  Because I wander what it would be like to Spend your whole day laughing and smiling

To look back on your day with a sunny smile

Because you e truly had so much fun  Do they realise how lucky they are to feel real happiness that I crave for

Happiness is more than feeling peaceful

It’s more than a calmness residing within you

Surely it is peace with a glass of bubbly lemonade

Oh Rose, I pray that you find the sort of day long happiness you are wishing for. You have summed up happiness very aptly. God bless you my dear 🙂

    A fine write Rose.
Sometimes we may prefer some 'flat' lemonade. Not that we need feel gloomy or sad all the time, but I mean with bubbly lemonade it can give us the burps, or feeling of the 'bends' which divers get. Not that I been diving.
    Mixing metaphors a bit here!
Yet - happiness is 'happen-ness'. I don't trust to it too much, as it can depend on how we react to outward things. Now a bit psychological! ooh!

Bubbly lemonade in deed! What an amazing poem Rose. Thoroughly enjoyable and also highlighting how subjective it all is. A many layered poem. Always the best ones

Thankyou ! 🙂 sometimes I feel so empty and bored ... as if their isn’t enough joy in my days . Sometimes I feel like it’s others who have all the fun . I compare myself to the rest of my family ..

I have never seen happiness compared to lemonade but it totally makes sense! I love the analogy of rising bubbles… if this has crawled out of your mind and exited through your finger tips it’s definitely in there 😊… poetry has no write or wrongs any feeling of doubt only serves to acknowledge your passion for writing, it’s how we improve … I enjoyed this

Thankyou !🙂 I think there might have been some level of happiness there .. or at least a feeling of calm and some peace maybe , but probably also sadness too ... as I kind of felt a bit empty when writing this and I hadn’t experience much joy in my day .., so I was kind of frustrated . It certainly felt good to get this onto paper tho ... I felt it came with ease . I think it’s difficult when you feel you don’t get the amount of happiness that some others feel or experience .. and nobody wants to spend their day / days feeling upset .

            Appreciate your comment ,

Glad you enjoyed this poem .

Yes , lemonade is bubbly ... just how I think happiness would be
