Sick Of Waiting

jo

I’m sick of waiting for a husband
I’m sick of waiting for more work
I’m sick of waiting for a housemate
I’m sick of waiting, can’t see a perk

I’m sick of waiting for better skin
I’m sick of waiting to make more friends
I’m sick of waiting to just fit in
I’m sick of waiting, can’t see where it ends

I’m sick of waiting for text replies
I’m sick of waiting for a call
I’m sick of waiting for God to speak
I’m sick of the waiting, sick of it all

That is because you are waiting, Jo.....Get on and do life... Extraordinary times, I agree - but just do it.

Thanks DD, yes I am trying to 'get on' with life nowadays.

have you tried looking rather than just waiting?

      • jo

That's a fair point. Yes, this one was partly about trying to take action but not succeeding, or in some cases, waiting for my attempts at action to have an impact. I wasn't solely sitting/waiting(/writing).

They say you never find your dreams where you expect them to be.
