Mirror on the Wall

Desmond Osafamen Idiagbonya

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall, they say you are the reflection of what and whose I am. But you reverse the direction of me in an equal yet opposite angle from which I stand gazing at me.

Mirror on the wall mirror on the wall, you have become my true teacher. You applaud me when I'm right and you correct me when I'm wrong. I can now see in you what I'm truly made of inside of me.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall.
You have become the real reflection of my inner self. You've remained my true friend in a lonely night. You have stocked on me like a glue during times of my ups and downs.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall.
Nobody can really feel my pain and struggles but you. You look through my eyes, you could literally see truth in all my lies, yet no one truly know me except you.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall.
you have become an impeccable and impartial reflection of who I really am,
each time you reflect me, you show me my true nature void of hypocrisy.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall, you are the only true friend that I comfortably talk to that listen to my deepest heart cry. You are the only one that understands me cos no one truly cares about how I feel when it's darkest.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall.
You have become the true judge of my real self. Everybody doubted me save you.
You show me the darkness and fairness within me.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall,
you have made me look like someone i don't want to look like but you brought peace within me because you know I'll change to become a better me by looking through you.

Mirror on the wall, mirror on the wall.
I finally realise that you don't really reflect the real image I gaze at, but rather you reflect the interpretation of what perceived to be who I really am.
