Heart of Babel

Captured by beasts, in need of escape
Crash-landed, distant years, to unfamiliar scape
A shortened jailbreak, clothed in a torn cape
Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape

indeed, its those that cater to their base instinct's of greed and power intoxicated existence
that will forever keep humanity, from overcoming and surpassing our base animal, heritage...
an insightful write, I can understand why its layers are a little tricky for some to comprehend
although, I understand why you the Poet, need to create layers
so we readers, seek that knowledge for ourselves, and try
however pitifully, to glean the true wisdom from the message you so profoundly, convey...
    thank you, dear Poet
a shorty, packing a Gorilla's punch of awareness,
a glimpse into to our everyday 'Hollywood' reality
of the oppressive influences 'at play' in our lives...
