Heartbreaking Tragedy

Jay-Lee Jane

Notice of absence from Jay-Lee Jane
just returned after losing my love for writing

The crying I hear yonder,

Makes my heart grow a little fonder,

Of the person I used to be,

The person you will no longer see.

Maybe it will take a while,

Until the birth of my newfound smile,

Because far beneath this empty mask,

Is a heart that’s shattered just like glass.

This heartbreak is a tragedy,

Or is this some conspiracy?

I’ll let you go; though don’t stray apart,

For it is you that has broken – and remains in – my heart.

very sweet, its defiant and stark and yet still romantic and tentative
    'This heartbreak is a tragedy,
    Or is this some conspiracy?

I’ll let you go; though don’t stray apart'..
